Protection of young and vulnerable students
Most of our students live away from their families and friends, our staff are trained to protect young people and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect by the actions or lack of actions of others.
Equal opportunities and diversity
The school is committed to working with diversity in a positive way, we ensure that all staff and students are treated equally.
As part of this, we do not tolerate any form of harassment and bullying.
Exclusion policy
The school is a friendly and open environment. In order to maintain this, the school will take the following action with anyone found to be acting contrary to school policy:
Step 1: A verbal warning
Step 2: A written warning
Step 3: A letter of expulsion from school.
In extreme circumstances, the person will be asked to leave with immediate effect. In any of the above circumstances, no refund will be made.
Harassment policy
We believe that everyone should be treated equally, fairly and with respect. Bullying and harassment of any kind are unacceptable.
Both students and staff have the right to work in a safe environment.
Learning difficulties and access for disabled people
The school will consider applications from any student with learning difficulties.
We will decide on an individual basis whether the course is suitable. It is very important that the school is aware of any learning difficulties or special educational needs prior to enrolment so that, if an application is accepted, we can support the student in the correct way.
