At Españolé, learning Spanish goes far beyond the classroom. Each day naturally blends language, culture, Mediterranean sunshine and real social life, creating an experience that feels immersive, motivating and refreshingly natural.
Your daily timetable at Españolé
Arriving at the school (09:00)
Located in C/ Caballeros 36, in the heart of El Carmen, Españolé sits inside a spectacular refurbished palace with Arab walls, patios and terraces.
Students usually come walking from their apartment or residence, by bike (Valenbisi stations nearby) or by bus or metro (both 5–10 min away).
Only on your first day, you arrive at 08:15 for:
- Your speaking test
- A welcome meeting
- A tour of Valencia with new students
First lesson (09:10-10:50)
This is where things get exciting. Classes are small, maximum 10 students, so you’ll get plenty of personal attention.
The teaching method is fully communicative: the whole lesson happens in Spanish, even at beginner level. Don’t worry, you’ll be surprised how quickly you understand.
What usually happens in this first block:
- Practical grammar explained simply
- Themed vocabulary you’ll actually use
- Pair and group speaking activities
- Videos, short texts, roleplays and games
- Lots of opportunities to talk
Because students come from all over the world, you’ll learn Spanish while discovering different accents and cultures.
Coffee break (10:50-11:20)
This break is one of the highlights of the morning.
You can try a coffee or snack from nearby cafés, relax on the school terrace, sit under the sun in the patio or chat with classmates from other groups.
These relaxed moments are usually where friendships begin.
Second lesson (11:20 – 13:00)
The second class continues with a different teacher. Españolé always provides at least two teachers per day so you get used to different accents and teaching styles.
This session normally includes:
- Reading or listening practice
- Guided conversation
- Pronunciation work
- Mini-projects or short debates
- More real-life language use
You’ll start feeling more confident each day.
Optional elective lesson (13:10 – 14:00)
If you’d like to focus on a specific area of the language, you can add an elective. Popular options include:
- Spanish Life & Culture
- Grammar Skills
- Pronunciation & Speaking
- Business Spanish
- Medicine & Health
These are great if you’re staying long-term or have professional goals.
Your free time in Valencia (14:00 – 18:00)
Once lessons finish, Valencia becomes your classroom.
Here are some popular after-class plans:
- Explore the city. Wander through the historic centre, visit la Lonja de la Seda, the Catedral or the Mercado Central. Walk or cycle through the Jardín del Turia, be amazed by the City of Arts and Sciences and head to the beach if the weather is good.
- Eat like a local. Valencian cuisine is a true reflection of the Mediterranean diet: healthy, full of flavour, and deeply rooted in tradition. Enjoy a menú del día, try horchata and fartons and discover tapas bars with other students.
- Slow down. Do your homework, relax at home or meet friends for a drink at sunset. Valencia is safe, lively and very easy to navigate. Ideal for international students.
