What am I going to learn?
The programme combines the Spanish course, in which you will work in a practical way all the areas of the language, with the sailing course in which you will develop your skills to handle a boat, direct it, maneuver and understand the fundamentals of this sport. You will learn about meteorology, seamanship, safety at sea, nautical terms, seafaring knots… Learn Spanish and sailing in Valencia in possible.
How are we going to do it?
On our sailing course, you will have the intensive Spanish course of your choice (20, 25, or 30 lessons) and 6 sailing classes per week.
What do I need to know about my Spanish and sailing course in Valencia?
When do the sailing courses start?
The sailing course starts every Monday between June 3th to September 9th. Check here the dates and timetables of the Spanish courses.
What schedule will I have?
You will have sailing classes two days per week, (depending on the weather) from 10:00 to 13:00 or from 15:30 to 18:30. The schedule of your Spanish course will depend on the type of intensive course you have chosen.
What is the minimum age required for the programme?
From the age of 16 years old.
What level do I need to have?
It is not necessary that you already know Spanish or have experience sailing, our Spanish and sailing course is designed for all levels, from unexperienced to experienced sailors. The only requirement is that you can swim well.
How long does my program to learn to sail in Valencia last?
The Spanish course lasts between 1 and 48 weeks. The sailing course, between 1 and 4 weeks.

A1 – Beginners
Students can deal with simple straightforward exchanges in familiar contexts. They can usually understand enough to keep a very basic conversation going.
A2 – Pre-Intermediate
Students can understand and express information about the present, past and future. They can deal with most situations involved in travelling around a Spanish speaking country, including communicating most personal and everyday information.
B1 – Intermediate
Students can comfortably interact with native speakers. They can participate in discussions and express their viewpoints in familiar contexts. They can describe experiences in their past as well as explain and give reasons for their plans, desires and ambitions for the future.
B2 – Upper-intermediate
Students can express their ideas on general topics clearly in both the spoken and written form. They are familiar with and can competently use more complex structures and have a good level of fluency andbroader vocabulary including some idiomatic expressions.
C1 – Advanced
Students are capable of understanding most lectures, discussions and debates. They are able to develop a well-structured argument with supporting evidence and explanations in oral and written form. Students have broadened their general language capability and vocabulary to feel comfortable operating effectively in social, academic and professional spheres.
C2 – Superior
Students have a high level of written and spoken Spanish They can participate easily in discussions and write well- structured compositions even on complex, unfamiliar situations. They can give clear presentations on complex issues, integrating sub themes and developing particular points.

#1 When can I start my course to learn to sail in Valencia?
Due to weather conditions, the sailing course is available for students to join every week between June and September.

#4 What is the timetable?
Sailing course consists of 6 lessons per week (50 minutes each) and should be combined with one of our intensive Spanish courses. Usually, Spanish courses in groups take place in the morning. Sailing course is divided in 2 sessions of 3 lessons each, that usually take place on Tuesday and Thursday or Wednesday and Friday, from 15:10 to 17:40. Please note, that timetable is subject to change and we will confirm your individual schedule after arrival.
#5 Is Spanish intensive course included?
No, the Spanish course is not included in the sailing program. Sailing is offered as a leisure elective that can be combined with any of our intensive Spanish courses. We recommend pairing it with the Intensive 20 course, but if you are interested in the Spanish Plus electives, you can also choose the Intensive 25 or Intensive 30 courses for a more comprehensive learning experience.
#6 Upon completion of the program, will I have a diploma and/or certificate?
Yes, upon completing the program, you will receive a diploma that verifies your participation and the knowledge you have acquired in both sailing and Spanish. This certificate can be a valuable addition to your resume and future career opportunities.
